27 local Coaches, two South Africans bag CAF B License badges through the LeFA
A total of 29 coaches have successfully attained their CAF B Licence Coaching Diploma Badges through the Lesotho Football Association after intense three blocks of the course that consisted of theoretically and practical sessions.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday issued the certificates to confirm that all the 29 participants have successfully acquired their CAF B License Coaching Diploma Badges, which is the third highest in the continent after CAF PRO and CAF A Licence Coaching Diploma respectively.
The list of local coaches that have bagged the CAF B Licence Coaching Diploma include several of the Premier League coaches such Mosholu ‘Shoes’ Mokhothu, Mosito ‘Careca’ Matela, Daniel Ntlaloe, Rets’elisitsoe Lephaila as well as those that special with women football team like former Lesotho international Lengana Nkhethoa and Tjamela Tjamela as well as well as well-known youth coaches like Kalaela Tseka and Mohaila Letseka.
Retired duo of former South African Premier League stars in Mark Mayambela and Shu-Aib Walters were also part of the B License Coaching Diploma course in the Kingdom of Lesotho.
LeFA Technical Director Lehlohonolo Thotanyana stated that the successful staging of the CAF B License course is an indication that they are still on the right direction with their coach education programmes.
“The successful completion of the course is an indication that we are still in the right direction with our coach education goals to train our coaches,” the LeFA Technical Director said.
“For coaches, it’s important to use the skills acquired during the course and take their work with all the seriousness needed to progress in their pathway of coaching.
” They must be very serious and professional in every conduct and approach of Coaching because the results as well as the certificates are nothing but what the person is a coach and not the certificates.”
