FIFA President Congratulates Advocate Phafane
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has inrked his congratulatory message towards Advocate Salemane Phafane (KC) after his re-election as the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) President last Saturday.
Advocate Phafane will lead LeFA for another term after a landslide victory over Maseru District Football Association President Lijane Thunya during the last weekend XVIth Congress held at Mojalefa Lephole Victory Hall in Maseru.
LeFA has in recent years enjoyed good support from the football governing body with the FIFA President having led a high-ranking delegation that visited the Mountain Kingdom in 2019.
The FIFA delegation included Secretary General Fatma Samoura, FIFA and CAF legend Samuel Eto’o and FIFA Foundation CEO and 1998 World Cup winner with France Youri Djorkaeff.
“Please accept my warmest greetings and sincerest congratulations for your re-election as President of the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) for a four-year term, at the LeFA Ordinary Congress 2021, held on Saturday 11 September 2021,” the letter from FIFA President said.
“I also seize the opportunity to thank you for all your efforts, your work and your important contribution to the development of our sport and the promotion of its values in Lesotho.
“Sending you and your team my best wishes for this new mandate and every success for all the challenges that lie ahead. I look forward dear President, to continuing to work with you for the growth and prosperity of football in Lesotho in the years to come.”
