<\/h3>\n<\/h3>\nThe LeFA President stated that the football governing body has already purchased a grassroots equipment worth M500\u00a0000 for its District Football Association (DIFAs) from the first batch of the bilateral support coming from the FA through the UEFA Assist Program.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know people have been asking if we have bilateral agreements and we said, we have bilateral agreements with many nations and many football bodies,\u201d LeFA President told a media briefing.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of them like I said, is the FA and by extension UEFA. When we were in talks with the FA, they extended our partnership beyond them by engaging the European football body (UEFA).”<\/p>\n
The LeFA President revealed that the Association is also in negotiations with Moroccan FA over a similar collaboration.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe expectation is that we will begin to reap fruits from the bilateral. We will begin to have exchange programs between ourselves and the Moroccan Football Association and by the same token, we are in the process of establishing a bilateral with Belgium,” advocate Phafane said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur hope is that if all goes well, we will recruit coaching staff from Belgium or trainers for our coaches. You will remember that we had agreements of this nature with a few nations such as the Germans and we recruited a coach from Germany but, it did not give us good results.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are now looking to Belgium and the Secretary General is hard at work towards securing the agreement,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
