Football coaches across the country can now work towards their CAF coaching license badges after a four-year halt brought about by the upgrading of coaching manuals.<\/p>\n
The LeFA Education department has not wasted any time after the approval by the continental body to resume with the coaching courses holding back-to-back CAF D License courses for DIFA Qacha\u2019s Nek and DIFA Mohale\u2019s Hoek respectively.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have now been given the greenlight to resume with the course after the four-year halt as CAF was reviewing its coaching syllabus,\u201d Thotanyana explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the reviewing, CAF directed Member Associations to produce their own customised coaching manuals and ours have since been given the greenlight by continental body.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe ball is now in our court to start all the courses generally because we have met all the requirements and CAF has also commended our work as far as the content, programmes, training plans are concerned. The convention has also been signed.<\/p>\n
DIFA Qacha\u2019s Nek President Tebalo Mpiti is over the moon that his district was the first to kickstart the D Licence Coaching course in the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet me pass my gratitude to the leadership of the Lesotho Football Association for granting us the opportunity to be the ground breakers of the D License Coaching course,\u201d DIFA Qacha\u2019s Nek President stated.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m very proud as the President of DIFA Qacha\u2019s Nek and of course for the participants, who are also making history as the first group to do this course in our country.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have no doubt that this will go a long way towards improving the standard of football in our district as far as coaching and development of players are concerned,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
