Lesotho Senior Women\u2019s national team players Lit\u1e67eoane Maloro and Mosili Mot\u1e67oeneng made their debuts for Royal AM in the South African Hollywoodbest Super League over the weekend after the long wait for their paperwork was sorted.<\/p>\n
The duo featured in Royal AM 3-0 in Thunderbirds with Mot\u1e67oeneng playing the whole 90 minutes while Maloro came in as second half substitute.<\/p>\n
They recently reunited at KwaZulu Natal having previously played together at Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies before it sold its male and female teams to Royal Am, which is owned by renowned South African socialite and businesswoman, Shaun Mkhize, who is popularly known as Mam\u2019Mkhize.<\/p>\n
Maloro was last season in the books of Tshwane University of Technology, but parted ways with the club at the end of last season while Mot\u1e67oeneng had been part of the Celtic team that had to relocate to Durban after being sold to Royal AM though she did not play in the second-round while awaiting her work permit.<\/p>\n
The two players expressed their gratitude to the Lesotho football Association for coming to the party to help them finally get their paperwork sorted to enable them to play in Hollywoodbets Super League.<\/p>\n
Lesotho already has Mehalalitoe captain Boitumelo \u2018Queen\u2019 Rabale playing her football in the Hollywoodbets Super League, where she is currently the reigning Player of the Season, after her exploits in the previous season that saw her score 27 goals in all competition for Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were thrilled when team announced that our paperwork is now sorted, and we will start playing. We are really grateful for the assistance from the Lesotho Football Association to have our paperwork sorted,\u201d Maloro said.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s been almost a year for me without playing competitive football at club level after the challenges I experienced at my previous club and I\u2019m very excited that I have this chance to play again.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo play in a professional set up is never easy but the fact that there was already my teammate from the national team in Mot\u1e67oeneng helped me to settle down quickly at the club.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mot\u1e67oeneng also spoke of her delight that they have finally have a chance to play competitive football after a frustrating spell on the side-lines waiting for their paperwork to be sorted-out.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so, so excited that everything has been sorted-out and we will be able to make a contribution to the club in the league,\u201d Mot\u1e67oeneng stated.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fact that I was here with the club, but I could not play was very frustrated and I\u2019m glad that all has been cleared and I will be back in the field playing.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s amazing really and it\u2019s a chance for us to stamp our authority to show what we are made of,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The Mehalalitoe duo stated that it\u2019s a motivation for them to have Rabale doing so well in South Africa, which challenges them to also come to the party by performing well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
