Notsi\u2019s charges had a perfect start to the tournament beating Mauritius 2-0 on Friday courtesy of goals from Neo Mokhachane and Motebang Sera respectively.<\/p>\n
Mozambique on the other hand snatched a late equalizer to salvage a 1-1 draw against Angola in a battle lusophone nations pitted together in Group C.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe next match is going to be a different ball game from Mauritius. We will be playing another technical and tactical good team and obviously our plan is going to change,\u201d Explained Notsi.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had a chance to sit and plan after watching Mozambique play Angola in preparation for the second game\u201d<\/p>\n
The Likuena coach admitted that his side squandered a lot of good goalscoring chances against Mauritius but was happy with the overall performance of the team.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur boys showed character scoring an early goal in the first match, but we were not clinical, and at the end of the match, one can say, going forward, there are a lot of positives to take from the game with Mauritius,\u201d Notsi added.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was very important for us to start on a winning note so that, going forward, it can bring confidence and hope to our players as well as our supporters back home.”<\/p>\n
Notsi praised attacking duo of Mokhachane and T\u1e67epang Sefali, who he felt gave his side life in the attacking third as well as Sera, for showing his goal scoring prowess coming from the bench.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Man of the Match, Mokhachane, I think he had a brilliant game, he enjoyed himself and played according to the instructions that we gave him. On the other side we had T\u1e67epang (Sefali), who also gave a lot to the team bringing a lot of creativity in the final third.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt times as a coach you must protect your players, Sera hasn\u2019t had enough minutes at his team towards the end of the season and when he came into the team, he had injury challenges, which we had to deal with. We had to plan how to have an impact player on the bench, somebody who can come in and rise to the occasion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
