Background and Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) is an autonomous administrator and custodian of football in the Kingdom of Lesotho. LeFA is a member of the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) globally, and member of the Confederation of African Football Associations (CAF) on the continent and Council of Southern African Associations (COSAFA) in the Southern African Region. LeFA is operating in a highly regulated environment that requires it to uphold highest level of integrity and ethical standards that engender trust in all its operations.<\/p>\n

In keeping with the best corporate governance standards, auditing standards and the regulatory requirements LeFA is required to engage different external auditors after every four years to comply with the principle of independence and ensure reality on the work of external auditors.<\/p>\n

Therefore, LeFA wishes to invite all the qualified and competent audit firms in Lesotho to submit their expression of interests to provide external audit services in accordance with the terms as stipulated below.<\/p>\n

Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n

The objective of the association is to find and engage a qualified audit firm to undertake annual statutory audit and report to the National Executive Committee and other stakeholders for the next four years starting from the financial year-ending 31st December 2025<\/p>\n

Submission Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The audit firm should be a registered member of the Lesotho Institution of Accountants (LIA), possesses a valid tax certificate and valid practicing certificates for the engagement partners.<\/li>\n
  2. The Audit firm must demonstrate experience in the audit of non-profit-making Organizations as well as that of its key engagement personnel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    iii. The key audit team will comprise, at least:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. a) An engagement partner \u2013 indicate number of years of experience in auditing, and specifically public interest entities and in addition, he\/she should be a member of the LIA.<\/li>\n
    2. b)\u00a0A quality review partner \u2013 indicate number of years of experience in auditing and professional qualifications<\/li>\n
    3. c)\u00a0Audit Manager(s) with relevant audit expertise, appropriate qualifications and of experience, including membership of LIA.<\/li>\n
    4. Proposal must be submitted together with a breakdown of fee structure and three reference letters<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
