LDF Ladies, now under the guidance of Zimbabwean coach Nation Dube, were also part of the teams that featured in the inaugural edition five years ago.<\/p>\n
Dube acknowledged that his side has been drawn in a tough group and will need to perform at their best to advance beyond the group stage.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a tough group, where we need to play well to have our chances of going beyond the group stage,\u201d Dube said. \u201cThe girls are motivated to play for the badge and the flag of Lesotho with pride.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Zimbabwean tactician, who recently took charge of the team, said he would have preferred more friendly matches to properly assess the squad\u2019s readiness for the zonal qualifiers.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are almost there, and I would love to see how they react tomorrow when we train in the Botswana heat,\u201d Dube said. \u201cIf we had prepared as per our wish, I would have given you the exact readiness answer, because we would have played more preparatory matches and had time to acclimatize.\u201d<\/p>\n
