The focus will be on attracting sponsorships, investment and strategic alliances across the football ecosystem.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This partnership aims to move Lesotho football beyond traditional sponsorship models by creating sustainable revenue streams around competitions, media rights, digital content, infrastructure, women\u2019s football, youth development and related opportunities.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Football is more than a sport\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>LeFA President Ntate Lijane Nthunya said football holds significant potential for both social and economic development.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cFootball in Lesotho possesses enormous potential, not only as a sport but as an important social and economic platform,\u201d Nthunya said. He added that the partnership would strengthen the commercial foundations of the game and help attract new partners and resources.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>A core element of the collaboration will be identifying and packaging LeFA\u2019s commercial assets into structured opportunities for corporate partners and investors. These include competition and tournament sponsorships, broadcasting and media rights, corporate hospitality, licensing and merchandising, digital platforms, infrastructure development, grassroots programmes, women\u2019s football and community initiatives.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Radisol founder and president Sol Motsepe described football as more than a sporting product.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\u201cFootball is an economic ecosystem, a media platform, a youth-development mechanism, a community asset and a powerful commercial property,\u201d Motsepe said.<\/div>\n<div>He stressed that Radisol will not interfere in the administration of the game. LeFA will retain full responsibility for governance, regulation and administration.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cLeFA will continue to lead, govern, regulate and administer football. Radisol will bring commercial expertise, investment thinking, corporate relationships and strategic market development,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Motsepe said the partnership seeks to move away from simply asking companies to sponsor football. Instead, it will develop football properties that deliver measurable value to businesses while generating funds that can be reinvested in the sport\u2019s development.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Roadmap for commercial growth\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Radisol Managing Director Puleng Magape said the company would work with LeFA to map the distinct audiences and commercial value of each football property.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cThe commercial opportunity lies in understanding that every football property has a different audience, purpose and value proposition,\u201d Magape said. Partnerships will be built around shared interests between football and the private sector.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The programme will start with commercial asset mapping, followed by sponsorship and partnership development, investment promotion, corporate engagement, media and content creation, and sustainable revenue generation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Both organizations emphasized that the ultimate objective remains football development. Nthunya said increased commercial income should strengthen competitions, support player and coach development, advance women\u2019s and youth football, and improve infrastructure.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The partnership will also seek to deepen Lesotho football\u2019s connections with regional and international markets.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Motsepe said Radisol\u2019s ambition is to help build a football ecosystem that benefits future generations of players, clubs, coaches, administrators and supporters.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cLesotho has a football story worth telling and a football asset worth developing,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The two organizations will now proceed with commercial asset identification, market development, stakeholder engagement and investment promotion, with further commercial initiatives expected to be announced as they are finalized.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) has signed a strategic partnership with Radisol Global Investments to drive the commercialization and long-term sustainability of football in the country.
