Kick4Life Women have been crowned champions of the Lesotho Women Super League for the first time in their history having clinched the 2024/2025 title with a game to spare.
The Elizabeth Yelimana coached side wrapped their historic title in style registering a 10-0 victory over already relegated Thaba Tseka Ladies at PTC Ground on Sunday as the curtain came down on the 2024-2025 season.
The Old Europa based outfit went the whole season unbeaten as they dethroned LDF Ladies, who have dominated the Super League scene winning five league titles in a row since the 2017/2018 season.
Kick4Life becomes the fourth different team to lift the Super League since its inception in 2015, where now defunct Likhosatsana, led by now Mamelodi Sundowns star, Boitumelo Rabale were the first team to win the championship and were followed by FC Stoko during the 2016/2017 season.
Kick4Life Women coach Yelimana, who has been in charge with the team since the 2019/2020 season was overwhelmed with emotions and stated that they are proud to have finally ended their long drought after years finishing as runners-up behind LDF Ladies.
“We are humbled, it means a lot because we have been waiting for it for so long and we have finally won it,” Yelimana said.
“It was a special season where we were unbeaten all season registered 15 victories out of 17 games, playing three draws, keeping 11 clean sheets, scoring 68 goals and only concede eight goals. I’m proud of the players and technical team.”
