LDF Invicibles clinch Women Super League title
LDF Ladies were on Sunday crowned Champions of the Women Super League for the fourth year running following a 4-0 victory over Thaba Tseka Ladies to complete an invicible season.
The Lengana Nkhethoa coached side were rampant throughout the season and their victory over Thaba Tseka Ladies on the final day saw the club complete the season unbeaten after collecting 54 points from 18 games.
They scored a whopping 108 goals and conceded just two goals throught the 2022/23 season. Their forward Nthabeleng Potsane ends The campaign as the Super League top Goal-scorer with 22 goals.
Kick4Life finished the campaign in second position with 42 points after edging Berea Ladies 1-0 in the final day of the 2022/23 season.
Basetsana are not far away in third spot with 39 points and a humiliating 15-0 victory over already relegated LUCT Ladies on the final day.
The fourth spot goes to FC Stoko, who finishes the season with 30 points after a goalless draw against Bantu Ladies on the final day of the campaign.
At the bottom of the table, Sky Battalion and LUCT are both relegated following a disastrous season, which ended with a heavy 15-0 loss while Sku Battalion go down with their heads held high after a 3-3 draw against Sky Battalion.
They will be replaced by two teams that will win promotional play-offs in the South and North respectively as for the very first time the Women Super League will have both the relegation and promotion, which will affect the two teams at the bottom of the table.
