Lesotho star Rabale picks up where she left off at Sundowns
Hollywoodbets Super League Player of the Season Boitumelo “Queen” Rabale picked up where she left in the previous season scoring a brace as Mamelodi Sundowns began their title defence with a 4-0 victory over Royal AM on Sunday.
Rabale put Banyana Ba Style ahead in the 16th minute and added her second in the 67th minute to help her side register a comfortable victory in their opening fixture of the new season played at Lucas Moripe stadium.
Her two goals against Royal AM earned the Lesotho star the Player of the match Award walking away with the M2000 prize money.
The 27-year-old was her club’s top goal-scorer last season with 24 goals in all competition, where she played a starring role as Sundowns won a treble of the Hollywoodbets Super League Title, the CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers Tournament as well as the CAF Women’s Champions League title.
Rabale was named the CAF Women’s Champions League Player of the Tournament after Helping Banyana Ba Style win the continental title for the second time in Cote D’voire.
Her Lesotho teammates at Royal AM in Litšeoane Maloro and Mosili Motṧoeneng both missed the defeat to Sundowns as they await the finalization of their paperwork to play in South Africa.
