Lishoeshoe off to a flying start at COSAFA
Lesotho national Under-17 Girls team got off their campaign at the COSAFA U-17 championship to a flying start beating their counterparts from Eswatini 6-0 in the opening match of Group A.
Lesotho was dominant from the early stages of the game and grabbed the lead as early as the 14th minute of the game through Ntsamaeng Tholo before the lead was doubled in the 25th minute by Phiri.
The Tjamela Tjamela coached side added their third goal in the 36th minute as Tholo registered a brace and it didn’t take long for Thato Molete to also have her name among the goals as Lesotho headed to the half-time break with a comfortable 4-0 lead.
Lesotho continued where they left off in the second half with netting the fifth goal in the 75th minute through Boiketlo Molise as Lishoeshoe proved to be too good on the day for their kingdom counterparts.
Tebello Lesala joined the party with the 6th goal of the match in the 82nd minute as Lesotho handed Eswatini a 6-0 thumping in their opening match of this year’s tournament.
Tebello Lesala was awarded the Player of the Match for the Lesotho side that will take on Comoros in their second match of Group A at UJ Soweto Stadium at 14h00.
