Makateng inspired by Sera resurgence
Lesotho striker Katleho Makateng says he has been inspired by countryman Motebang Sera’s resurgence in the South African DSTV Premiership, having netted his third goal of the campaign in the recent match against Amazulu.
The 23-year-old hitman is yet to find his groove at Richards Bay having made a big move to South Africa after an impressive maiden season in Lesotho topflight football, where he scored 20 goals for LDF.
Makateng impressive first season in the Vodacom Premier League saw him have a clean sweep at the end of the season awards taking home four major accolades.
Makateng is still searching for his first goal since he moved to Richards Bay in the DSTV Premiership.
“Indeed, its very inspiring to see Sera doing well at his club and it gives me hope that i will get my opportunity to break the duck since moving to the DSTV Premiership,” Makateng stated.
“Its never easy when a player moves to a new league having to adapt and everything, but i have comeback from the Christmas break recharged.
“I’m confident that my fortunes will change once i get the opporrunity to play. i have no doubt that once i scored by first goal, then more will follow.”
