Lesotho Senior National team players plying their trade outside the country endured mixed fortunes over the weekend as Sekhoane Moerane kept his fourth clean sheet in five matches while Thabo Makhele inked a milestone at Chippa United and with Neo Mokhahlane scoring a goal for Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana. 

Sekhoane Moerane

The Likuena captain played in his fifth successive match since being restored into the starting line-up at Orbit College which came after impressive displays for Likuena in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against South Africa And Rwanda.

Moerane has kept several cleans sheets as well as registering a goal for the North West based side chasing for promotion from the Motsepe Championship to the Betway Premiership.

Orbit are in second position with 49 points behind Durban City who has 52 points while Tlotliso Phatsisi and Tumelo Makha’s Black Leopards are in third position with 44 points alongside Kruger United of Motlomelo Mkhwanazi in fifth position.

 Tlotliso Phatsisi

The Black Leopards midfielder made his third appearance in the row coming from the bench as Lidoda Duvha promotion ambitions suffered a blow with the 1-2 defeat away to Castric FC.

Leopards face Durban City in their next fixture scheduled for Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday May 11th as the two sides take the race for promotion to the wire.

Tumelo Makha

The Likuena attacking midfielder is back in training after a long spell on the sidelines and is racing against time to get some minutes before the end of the season for Leopards.

Motlomelo Mkhwanazi

The no nonsense defender was on the bench as Kruger United bounced back from the previous weekend defeat to Orbit College with a 1-0 victory over Leruma United.

Kruger travel to Gqeberha for their next fixture where they will face Highbury as they push to remain in the race for promotion to the Betway Premiership.

Teboho Letsema

The attacking midfielder joined the match on the 71st minute as Upington City clinched a hard fought 1-0 win over Milford to ease Bafana Ba Gucci relegation woes.

City are third from bottom in the Motsepe Championship and are tied on 29 points along with Cape Town Spurs and Venda Football Academy.

Thabo Makhele

In the Betway Premiership, Likuena defender Thabo Makhele inked a milestone as he played his 24th league match for Chippa in the 2-0 loss to his former club SuperSport United, which is the most games he has played in a season since making his debut in the South African Premiership.

Makhele is Chippa player with most appearances in the league so far in the season alongside Cameroonian striker Beinvenu Eva Nga with both players having featured in the 24 out of the 25 games.

Neo Mokhachane

In Botswana, Neo Mokhachane continued with his goal-scoring form netting the first of the two goals as Jwaneng Galaxy registered a 2-0 win over Matebele.

Galaxy are in second position but they are tied on 57 point with Gaborone United, who occupy the top spot due to a superior goal difference after 27 games played by both sides.T

Lehlohonolo Fothoane

The Likuena midfielder kingpin was once again named in the starting line-up as Township Rollers secured all the three points beating Chadibe FC 2-1.

Rollers are in 6th position and seven points behind the two teams occupying first and second positions in the Botswana Premiership heading towards the end with three games before the end of the campaign.

Thabang Malane

In Namibia, Thabang Malane kept his place in the starting line-up for leaders African Stars coached by Likuena assistant coach, Bob Mafoso as they played-out to a one-all draw against Blue Waters Sport Club away from home.

African Stars leads the 16-team Namibian Premier League with 40 points after 21 games and enjoy a three-point advantage over second placed Khomas Nampol, who have 37 points.
