Ruthless Lishoeshoe registers Lesotho biggest international victory
Lesotho Girls Under-17 team, Lishoeshoe registered the country biggest victory in an international competition with the 10-0 thumping of Comoros at the ongoing COSAFA Under-17 Championship in Johannesburg.
Lesotho waded into their second match of Group A at the back of a 6-0 victory over Eswatini and have now moved to the summit of the pool with six points having scored 16 goals.
Lesotho broke the deadlock through Mampona Lekenyane to take a slender 1-0 lead to the half-time break.
The floodgates were opened early in the second half as Lesotho scored two quick goals through Nteboheleng Sooane and Ntsamaeng Tholo to increase their lead to 3-0.
Tholo was ruthless in front of goals on the day adding three more goals to register a haul and take her tally in the tournament after two games to seven goals.
Four more goals followed for Lesotho as Thato Molete, Itumeleng Phiri, Tebello Lesala and Boiketlo Molise added their names to the scoresheet to maintain the Tjamela Tjamela coached side impressive run in the tournament.
The Mountain Kingdom side will take on Mozambique in their last fixture of Group A on Sunday.
