Jelusic: Malawi a good test to prepare for Zambia
Lesotho coach Veselin Jelusic is adamant the upcoming friendly match with Malawi will be a good test for his side as they fine tune their preparations for next month 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The friendly match will be played at the national stadium in Lilongwe, where Malawi will hope to get their revenge on Lesotho having lost the last encounter between the two countries last year.
Jelusic charges were victories in the last encounter between the two countries at the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup courtesy of an own goal and the second from goal Katleho Makateng while Chiukepo Msowoya scored the consolation goal for the Flames.
“The friendly game against Malawi will benefit our preparations a lot to test our readiness for the two matches against Zambia,” Jelusic said.
“We will be able to look at our combinations and the fact that Malawi will be at home is the kind of pressure that we need as we prepare for Zambia.
“Malawi are a very tough and good side. They will surely through everything at us to win the match playing in front of their supporters.”
