
Lesotho Women’s team captain Boitumelo “Queen” Rabale arrived home to a heroine’s welcome after playing a starring role in Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies winning a treble.
Fans sang and danced at Moshoeshoe I international Airport as Rabale made her work back to Lesotho since she was crowned the CAF Women’s Champions League Player of the Tournament and the Hollywoodbets Super League Player of the Season respectively.
The 27-year-old Lesotho star played a key role as Banyana Ba Style won their second treble in three years which commenced with the regional title when they defeated Botswana’s Double Action in the final of the COSAFA CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifier.
The Jerry Tshabalala’s coached side reined supreme at the third edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Cote D’voire, where they cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Sporting Club Casablanca with Rabale among the goals.
The Mehalalitoe captain was also the difference in the semi-final as her solitary goal dispatched AS FAR of Morocco, who beat Sundowns in the final of the 2022 edition of the tournament.
The home coming celebrations, which were graced by Minister of Tourism, Sports, Arts and Culture Honourable Motlatsi Maqelepo and three other Lesotho cabinet Minister’s, were held in Qoaling, where Rabale’s football talent were nurtured and honed as a young girl.
