The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA), in collaboration with FIFA, will stage a five-day Elite Youth Goalkeeper Coaches Workshop at Bambatha Ts’ita Sports Arena, beginning Wednesday, August 27th.

The Workshop will be led by FIFA goalkeeping experts Alejandro Heredia and Cameron Cox, and will bring together 24 participants, including former Lesotho national team goalkeepers Mohau Kuenane, Likano Mphuthi, and Liteboho Mokhehle.

The program is designed to strengthen the capacity of local coaches by introducing modern methods in goalkeeper development. Key themes include the role of the modern goalkeeper, evolving trends in the game, effective training methodologies, and talent identification.

The initiative also seeks to promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing among goalkeeper coaches within the country.

Combining theory and practice, the workshop will ensure coaches are better equipped to support and nurture the next generation of elite goalkeepers in Lesotho.
