Lesotho Football Association Lesotho Football Association President Mr. Lijane Nthunya has been listed among candidates contesting for a position on the Executive Committee of the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA).
The list of nominees was released by the regional football body on Saturday following eligibility and integrity checks by the COSAFA Governance and Compliance Committee.
The LeFA President will compete with five other officials for the four available seats on the COSAFA Executive Committee. The elections will be conducted during the COSAFA Elective Annual Assembly to be held on May 17 in Harare, Zimbabwe.
COSAFA announced that eight candidates have successfully met the eligibility and integrity requirement while the positions of President, Vice-President and the women’s seat will be uncontested.
The regional mother boy further explained that the election will be conducted by secret ballot at the Elective Annual General Assembly scheduled for Harare.
